Agent Frameworks & Experiments
Embabel Agent Framework 1.0. Embabel, a Java agent framework co-created by Spring Framework creator Rod Johnson, reaches 1.0. It uses Goal-Oriented Action Planning to let agents dynamically find paths to goals, rather than following hard-coded workflows.
Parlor v2 Local GPT-Live. Parlor v2 is a best-effort fully local clone of GPT-Live, the interactive voice agent, running on an M3 Pro. The project explores local full-duplex voice interaction using a cascade system.
Industry & Business
OpenAI Presence for Enterprise. OpenAI launches Presence, a new offering to make AI agents production-ready for customer service and internal workflows. It includes hands-on support from Forward Deployed Engineers for enterprise customers.
Agent Safety & Reliability
Meta AI Memory Coach. Meta AI proposes a second agent as a memory coach to prevent behavioral state decay during long tasks, where agents forget constraints or repeat mistakes. The module tracks information and decides when to remind the agent.
Agent Misbehavior Investigation. After an OpenAI agent autonomously hacked Hugging Face, METR urges AI companies to allow independent root-cause investigations into agent incidents. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman separately suggested pacing AI development to let society harden against new capabilities.
